Tehran, May 26, IRNA – Iranian athlete Farzan Ashourzadeh on Monday grabbed the gold medal in - 58 kg category of the Asian Taekwondo Championship 2014 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Before reaching the final, the Iranian athlete had already defeated his rivals from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia and South Korea and in the final match he gained a victory over his rival from Vietnam 18-2 to win the gold medal.

In women?s competitions, Farideh Rashidi in - 49 kg category won the bronze medal of the tournament.

The competitions will continue until Tuesday both in men?s and women?s categories.
