Dehqan demands Israeli WMD be on the table

26 May 2014 - 15:01

TEHRAN, May 26 (MNA) – Iran’s defense minister has said after Iran’s nuclear program, Israel’s WMD should be on the table for negotiation.
Mehr News quoted defense ministry defense promotion office report that Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehqan reportedly speaking in a response to the US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel who had called for addressing Iran’s missile capabilities after nuclear program.

“If any issue is to be subject of the negotiations it is certainly Israel’s WMD stockpiles so that we have a Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction, and then it is the US WMD stockpiles’ turn as the first user of the horrible weapons,” Dehqan was quoted to say.

“The Zionist Regime should be wary of Iran’s deterrent power, since if it was not for Iran’s power, it would rule over the Middle East by now through bloodshed and violence,” he added.

Dehqan believed it was a source of denigration for a hegemonic power as the US for its Secretary of Defense’s remarks that Israel had allowed the US to find a way out of Iran’s nuclear stalemate. “We call all negotiators to turn their focus of attention to disarmament of the greatest threat to the region and the world as well, that is, the US and Israel according to Article 6 of NPT,” he asserted.
