Iran entered nuclear talks from position of dignity: VP

20 May 2014 - 22:22

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri described Iran’s position in the nuclear talks with the world powers as one of dignity and logic.
“The government entered the negotiations with strong reason and logic and from a position of dignity so that all countries have come to realize that they cannot speak to the Iranian people with the language of force and threats.” Jahangiri said Monday.

Delegates representing Iran and the group of six world powers – Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany - concluded the latest round of negotiations on Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program in the Austrian capital of Vienna on Friday.

The fourth round of marathon talks was aimed at drafting a comprehensive nuclear deal. The two parties inked a six-month deal on Tehran’s nuclear activities in Switzerland on November 24, 2013.

The next round of negotiations between Iran and the sextet will be held from June 16 to June 20 in Vienna, Austria.
