Rouhani hopeful of nuclear talks despite recent deadlock

19 May 2014 - 15:22

Nasim– Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani expressed hope that the talks with the sextet powers over Tehran’s Nuclear Program yield results despite of “difficulties.”
Speaking on Monday, he stressed that “win- win” deal is in “everybody’s interest.” “Islamic Republic has never lied to the world; we seek a peaceful nuclear technology and won’t compromise on our nation’s rights.”

The United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia, China, Germany and Iran gathered in Vienna last week expecting to begin drafting final agreement. But after the talks, diplomats from all sides expressed frustration with the pace of the discussions.

“Our commitment to advance talks does not mean that Iran is afraid of the Western sanctions,” President Rouhani underlined.
