The Islamic Republic of Iran rejects the “false and baseless” report published by UK Daily Telegraph, the statement noted.
It added that original source of this alleged report is a Zionist news outlet.
On Tuesday, the Daily Telegraph claimed that Iran has supplied the Syrian government with Chinese-made bombs filled with chlorine gas.
The report cited the Israeli military intelligence website DEBKAfile as the initial source of the allegation.
Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since March 2011. According to some reports, over 150,000 people have been killed and millions displaced due to the violence fueled by Western-backed militants.
Iran has repeatedly voiced its opposition to any foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs, calling for inclusive dialog and national reconciliation as well as free elections as the keys to the settlement of the crisis in the Arab country.
