Isfahan, April 28, IRNA – Visiting Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Irina Bokova, said Monday that Iranians should be proud of themselves for their cultural heritage.
Ms Bokova who arrived in historical city of Isfahan in central Iran earlier in the day was surprised at the glory of archeological sites in the city.
The UNESCO chief arrived in Tehran Friday night. She has also visited Iranian cities of Bam and Shiraz as part of her Iran visit.
The UNESCO chief said that promotion of tourism and handicrafts can lead to improvement of employment.
