TEHRAN, April 29 (MNA) – Iran's Foreign Ministry General Director for Western Europe in a meeting with UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office Director has dismissed UK’s human rights report on Iran.
Simon Gass who is heading a delegation, met with Iranian officials Monday and they discussed bilateral, regional and international matters of interest.
Iran’s deputy-FM for Europe and North America voiced Iran’s dissatisfaction over UK’s human rights report on Iran to Gass and also dubbed UK’s measures to update sanctions against Iran as ‘obstacles on the road to add to bitterness of the relations between the two countries.’
Gass discussed issues related to embassy reopening in Iran. He met with General Director for Western Europe in Iranian Foreign Ministry Abolqasem Delfi, Iran's deputy-FM for Europe and North America Majid Takht Ravanchi and Deputy for Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araghchi.
Gass also met with deputy-FM for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and discussed recent developments in Middle East.
Simon Gass and the UK delegation left Tehran to London Monday night.
