Shahr-e-Rey, Tehran prov, April 17, IRNA – A group of Army commanders and high ranking officials and staff paid tribute to the Father of the Islamic Revolution the late Imam Khomeini on Thursday by attending his mausoleum in southern Tehran.
Army Comander Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan was also present in the visit which took place on the eve of the Natioinal Army Day (April 18).
Units of the Iranian Army hold major military parade each year on Army Day, displaying their latest achievements as well as the country’s defensive and military capabilities in the presence of senior administrative and millitary officials.
