Tehran, April 12, IRNA - Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayebnia here on Saturday met and conferred with his visiting Afghan counterpart Omar Zakhilwal on issues of mutual interests.
Touching on the cultural commonalities and historical relations between the two countries, Tayebnia called for further expansion of bilateral ties.
He also called for implementation of the agreements previously inked between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Iranian minister congratulated the Afghan government and nation on holding a successful presidential elections.
During the meeting, the two sides called for boost in trade and economic cooperation.
Zakhilwal, for his part, expressed hope that the investment opportunities and economic cooperation could be bolstered between the two nations.
