Iran’s Ministry of Science has announced that for the first time in Islamic Republic history, the president of Tehran University will be selected by the university faculty.
The Mehr News Agency reports that a ministry spokesman said the university faculty will select the president and the ministry of science will simply announce the appointment.
He added that the new appointment will take until May to allow sufficient time to determine the eligibility of the individual.
