Tehran, April 8, IRNA - Head of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Valiollah Seif, heading a high-ranking delegation, left Tehran for Washington, US, to attend the Spring Meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, it was reported on Tuesday.
Each year, the annual Spring and Autumn Meetings are held in mid-April and mid-October in Washington respectively, and every three years a member county hosts the annual summit.
The 2014 Spring Meeting is slated for April 11-13.
Headquartered in Washington, the IMF is an organization of 188 countries working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world.
