Nasim— A delegation of Iranian parliamentarians canceled their official visit to Berlin, the capital of Germany, to protest the fingerprinting procedure.
“Upon the invitation of the chairman of Foreign policy Commission of German Parliament, Norbert Röttgen, a group of Iranian lawmakers were supposed to pay a visit to Berlin in April, 2,” Alaeddin Boroujerdi told Nasim on Sunday, adding, “faced with fingerprinting, they refused to do so in order to save national dignity.”
Individuals who are accredited by a recognized government, assigned to a diplomatic mission or a consular post should not be fingerprinted according to the common diplomatic etiquette and protocol.
