Beirut, April 5, IRNA - Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi on Saturday met with the family of Lebanese security officer Mohammad Dandash who was martyred in a terrorist attack against Iran?s Cultural Center in Beirut in February 2014.
Dandash was martyred when twin suicide car bombings targetted the Iranian Cultural Center in Beirut on February 19 killing at least eight people, including the bombers, and injuring about 150 others.
Praising the dedication of the Lebanese guard, Roknabadi said his devotion prevented shedding bloods of a considerable number of innocent people on the day of the incident.
Congratulating Dandash family, the ambassador stressed, ” We are proud of the devotions of people like Dandash that sacrifice their lives to serve their country and protect the people.”
Dandash?s father, for his part, appreciated the Iranian ambassador for his visit and strongly condemned the terrorist act which claimed many lives including that of his own son.
