Tehran, March 10, IRNA – Member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis Nowzar Shafi?ie said that the presence of the European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton in Iran will positively affect the nuclear talks with 5+1.
Talking to IRNA on Monday, he said the visit will benefit both sides.
He noted that Ashton’s visit is resulted from a procedure which had already brought at least five ministers from Italy, Belgium, Poland, Sweden and Spain to Iran.
According to the parliamentarian, the Greek foreign minister is also to visit Iran soon.
He believed other diplomatic visits to Iran including the ones by a number of world parliament speakers served the same objective.
The parliamentarian further noted that there might be people in both sides who are not in favor of improvement of ties but they should be aware that expansion of relations is to the benefit of all.
He said Iran has already showcased enough strength and resistance and is now determined to use the opportunities to be offered by talks.
The Europe, too, has suffered a 35-year-old distance from Iran causing them many damages which make them eager to use the chance of Ms Ashton visit to Iran.
