Tehran, Feb 19, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said Wednesday that Iran attaches importance to its ties with African countries including Niger.
Iran has always been ready to help African states reach economic development, said Larijani in a meeting with visiting President of Niger’s National Assembly Hama Amadou.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 9th Session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States (PUIC) that kicked off in Tehran Tuesday morning.

Iran’s great achievements and its economic and technological capacities are good grounds for fostering relations with the African nations, said Larijani.

For his part, Amadou described Tehran PUIC conference as very important.

Referring to religious commonalties between the two nations, Amadou said Niger attaches great importance to ties with the Islamic Republic.
