China's Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong will lead a delegation to Iran for nuclear talks which are scheduled to start Tuesday, a foreign ministry spokeswoman said Monday.
Iran and the six world powers (P5+1 group) which consist of the US, Russia, China, France, Britain plus Germany, are set to hold the next round of talks in Vienna to discuss a comprehensive nuclear agreement, reported Xinhua.

Foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said achieving a positive result would help maintain good progress of dialogue and cooperation as well as safeguard regional peace and stability.

In November 2013, the P5+1 group and Iran reached an interim deal in Geneva and started implementing it Jan 20, said Hua, pointing out the developments have advanced the issue on to a path of constraining Iran's nuclear programme and easing sanctions on the country.

"China believes that dialogue and negotiations are the only path towards a solution of the Iran nuclear issue," Hua said.

China has made efforts during the negotiation process and played a constructive role, Hua said.
