The 4th edition of West Asian Games, due to be held in Kish Island, Iran in April, have been called off.
“We decided to postpone the games since the many of athletes have not yet registered for the games. This is the main reason,” Bahram Afsharzadeh, Secretary General of the West Asian Games Federation, said on Sunday.
West Asian Games are a multi-sport event held among the athletes from West Asian countries.
The West Asian Games were first organized in Tehran, Iran, where the host country won the championship.
