Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA – Qatar Foreign Minister, in a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister in Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdullahian in Doha, said that the two countries should develop their relations in all fields.
Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad al-Attiyah added that Iran’s positive approach toward neighboring states in the Persian Gulf has created many opportunities.
He continued that Qatar has always supported Iran’s right to use peaceful nuclear energy.
He added that he will visit Tehran soon.
Amir-Abdullahian, for his part, said that relations between Tehran and countries of Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, including Qatar, is witnessing more development.
He stressed that formation of joint political committee is on agenda, adding that mutual consultations are important to settle regional crises.
Iran’s senior diplomat continued that radicalism in the region is an obstacle for progress and collective security.
