The 9th session of the OIC Parliamentary Assembly is slated to be held in Tehran on February 18-19.
The Azeri ambassador added that meetings and reciprocal visits by political and parliamentary delegations of Iran and Azerbaijan would pave the way for the expansion of bilateral relations.
Sobhanifar, for his part, referred to the deep historic, cultural and religious commonalities between the two nations as proper ground for the development of political and economic relations between Tehran and Baku.
He highlighted the great economic, industrial and trade potentials in Iran and Azerbaijan, and called for the swift implementation of joint agreements to set the ground for the two countries’ private sectors to make joint investments.
Iran and Azerbaijan enjoy deep ties in economic, political and cultural areas.
