(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Syrian Ministry of Health on Saturday received 250 hospital wheelchairs from the Iranian people as to serve hospitals and emergency departments.
In a press release upon receiving the gift, Minister of Health Sa'ad al-Nayef said that the Ministry is working with the Iranian side on enhancing the relations between the two countries.
He expressed appreciation for Iran for its permanent support to the health sector in Syria through providing medical equipment and medicines as to enable the Ministry to overcome the challenges and difficulties caused by the current circumstances.
For his part, the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus Mohammad Riza Shebani said that Iran will continue its support to the Syria people through providing aid, especially in the medical field, adding that another 250 wheelchairs will arrive to Syria soon.
He said that there are 8 signed agreements between the two countries' health ministries, adding that all medical needs for the Syrian people will be provided.
