Nasim—Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Anan told reporters Wednesday that he believes it is Islamic Republic that can provide the best solution for ending Syrian crisis, stressing that the world requires to credit Iran’s influential role.
Regarding the country’s nuclear program, the head of “the Elders” delegation said: “Iran definitely has rights to enjoy peaceful nuclear energy.”
Annan is accompanied by Martti Ahtisaari, former President of Finland, Desmond Tutu, Archbishop Emeritus of Cape Town and Ernesto Zedillo, former President of Mexico, as a delegation of “The Elders,” having a three-day visit of Iran.
