The EU has put Iranian Minister of Energy Majid Namjoo and 34 Iranian companies and banks on a ‘black list’.
The EU bulletin published on Tuesday reads that Namjoo is a member of the Supreme National Security Council which determines Iran’s nuclear policy.
The EU has banned the Iranian minister’s trips to the EU countries and has also frozen his assets in European banks.
A new package of sanctions against Iran was approved at a session of the EU’s Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg yesterday.
