Tehran, Jan 25, IRNA - Director of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council said here on Saturday that Iran and France have started a new phase of cooperation to help settle crisis in Syria and safeguard the Syrian people?s rights.

Ali-Akbar Velayati made the remarks in a joint press conference attended by visiting ex-French foreign minsiter Hervé De Charette.


Velayati, who is also the Supreme Leader?s senior advisor, stressed that De Charette is scheduled to hold talks with Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif on Sunday on the Syrian crisis.
