Rome, Jan 24, IRNA – Italian Minister of Culture and Tourism Massimo Bray is to depart for Tehran on Friday evening for a 4-day visit heading a delegation.
Italian Culture Ministry, in a statement, declared that the minister, heading a cultural delegation, is to depart for Tehran to meet with Iranian officials.
During his 4-day stay in Iran, the Italian minister is to meet with counterpart Ali Jannati, Vice-President and Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization as well as Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
The Italian delegation departs for Kerman province on Monday to visit city of Bam.
Italy was the first western country which welcomed election of President Rouhani and immediately sent Deputy Foreign Minister Lapo Pistelli, as official representative of the government to Tehran to congratulate the new president of Iran.
