TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army continued its mop-up operations against foreign-backed militants in several areas on Sunday.


Army kills 9 militants in Daraa, destroys their hideouts

A Syrian army unit killed nine militants and injured others in an ambush set near al-Wehda al-Irshadiyeh roundabout in Sheikh Miskin town in Daraa countryside, a military source said .

The source told SANA that militants’ cars were destroyed, militants were killed and injured surrounding Abu Huraireh and Bilal al-Habashi Mosques, the post office and Katakit building in Daraa city.

Army units pursued militant groups in Daraa al-Balad, killing a number of militants, among them Wael Radwan abu Nabut, Bashar Mahmoud al-Masalmeh, Mahmoud Qasem al-Jawabrah, Abdel-Hakim Hamdan al-Qutaifan and Taleb Abu al-Nujuom.

The army units also destroyed militants’ gatherings to Southwest of al-Jumrouk al-Qadim, killed a number of militants and injured others.
