Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA – Deputy foreign minister for consular, Majlis and Iranian expatriates affairs Hassan Qashqavi and the four-member British parliamentary delegation on Wednesday called for developing consular relations between Iran and Britain.
According to Foreign Ministry’s Media Department, British parliamentary delegation presided by former British foreign secretary Jack Straw discussed with Qashqavi on ways to develop consular services for Iranian expatriates living in the United Kingdom.
Referring to presence of several hundred thousand Iranians living in Britain, Qashqavi stressed the need to deliver consular services and speeding up issuance of visas for their Iranian relatives.
The British parliamentary delegation said that they are ready to help promote consular ties between the two countries.
