Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has stated that national self-confidence and justice are two main indicators of progress.
On the fourth day of his trip to northeastern Iran, the Supreme Leader made the remarks addressing tens of thousands of people gathered at Takhti Stadium in the town of Esfarayen on Saturday morning.
Emphasizing that a nation's vitality is the large capital and main area of its progress, the leader added various factors must not be allowed to undermine public happiness.
In his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the goal is to make progress, affirming the Iranian nation has the potential to progress to the extent that it can be considered as a model in the world.
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said "a nation's progress has indicators; one of them is national self-esteem and self-confidence."
"Considering this indictor, Iranian nation has made great progress and has confidence in the area of international politics… It can be seen that the country's officials speak with perfect confidence dealing with global issues, and this is due the nation's confidence that Islam has given us," the leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei also said the other indicator is justice, stressing that if a country progresses in science, technology, and various manifestations of civilization without making any progress in social justice, it is just a superficial progress not a real one.
