Nasim– U.S.-based sport channel ESPN ranked Iranian Football players Reza Ghoochannejhad and Javad Nekounam among Top 10 Asian players of 2013.
ESPN described Reza Ghoochannejhad as “crucial part of the Iranian squad”, adding that “the fleet-footed forward only made his national team debut at the tail end of last year.”

The site also names Javad Nekounam “a figure of supreme authority in leading his team to the most vital of victories,” adding that “the Prince of Persia” helped the Esteghlal “to the semifinal of the Asian Champions League and the Iranian title.”
