Tehran, Dec 22, IRNA – Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Moulaverdi hoped Iran?s plan for a world devoid of violence and extremism would be materialized by the collective efforts of all world countries.

She made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino.


Stressing the importance of Tehran-Rome relations, she said the current visit to Iran of Ms Bonino would help preapare the ground for further expansion of cooperation between the two nations.

She further outlined the achievements and victories of Iranian women in different areas and highlighted their presence in the social and political scenes in the country.

The Italian foreign minister, for her part, pointed to the existing good relations between Tehran and Rome and said the two countries share identical views regarding several world issues.

Expressing happiness with efforts to raise the status of women in Iran, she voiced readiness for bolstering all-out cooperation with Tehran.
