Tehran, Dec 19, IRNA – An earthquake measuring 4.0 on Richter scale jolted town of Khourmoj in southern province of Bushehr on Wednesday evening.

According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 22:15:32 hours local time ( 18:45 hours GMT).


The epicenter of the quake was registered at 28.62 degrees latitude and 51.60 degrees longitude and in depth of 11 kilometers underground.

There was no report on possible casualty or damages.
