Arvandan co. raising oil output to 1 mb/d

TEHRAN (FNA)- Arvandan Oil and Gas Company will become the second largest oil production company in the country, Head of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Roknoddin Javadi said.


Addressing the introducing ceremony of the newly appointed chief of Arvandan Oil and Gas Company, Javadi said the company would celebrate its achievement on raising oil output to one million barrels per day in near future.

The company’s oil production capacity stands at 227 thousand barrels per day now.

“Arvandan Oil and Gas Company is at first tasked with gas production so that the company’s activities cover 75 percent of the territory of the country, NIOC managing director said adding the company is now responsible for production of more than 50 percent of the total gas output of the country.

New managing director of Arvandan Oil and Gas Company Salbali Karimi said, in his turn, he had been working for the company since 13 years ago. He added: oil industry plays a leading role in development of the country and Arvandan Company as part of the industry should play its role.

He also emphasized on necessity of preserving human resources of the company in order to prevent them from moving to other countries.
