TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian security forces identified and arrested a MI6 spy in southeastern Kerman Province, said Head of Kerman Revolution Court Dadkhoda Salari.
"The spy was arrested after several months of complex intelligence activities," Salari told ISNA.
The accused individual has visited British intelligence officers 11 times inside and outside Iran and presented the intelligence intended by the spy service in every 11 sessions, the Iranian judicial official said.
He noted the arrested spy has also received plans against the Islamic Republic of Iran from British intelligence spy.
Salari said the spy has had contacts with 4 intelligence officers, and said, "Under training and instruction of the intelligence officers, the spy has collected the information and transferred them to the source country of espionage."
The spy is being tried and has confessed to his crimes, he said.
