TEHRAN, Dec. 7 (MNA) – Iran’s 7th and 8th president has sent a video message to the anniversary of university student day.
Mehr News reported that during the ceremony held in Ferdowsi Amphitheater of Faculty of Persian Literature, University of Tehran by Students Islamic Association, Mohammad Reza Khatami, Ali Shakouri Rad, Davoud Suleimani, Zafarghandi, Ehsan Shariati and the brother of martyr Azar Shariat Razavi attended.



A video message by Mohammad Khatami in the occasion of the anniversary was shown in the hall. In the video message, Khatami told that it was deserved of the university to be pioneer in all movements. We should learn lessons of December 7 events and everybody, with whatever political and moral affiliation, should make clear his approach toward this day.

“Seeking independence and freedom are co-occurring, and a successful student movement is one that is committed to the system,” he said in the video message.

After the video message, students clapped Khatami for his remarks and chanted ‘Yare Dabestani’ political song and left the hall.
