Mashad, Khorassan Razavi Prov, Dec 7, IRNA – Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki left this eastern Iranian holy city for Baghdad on Saturday.
Al-Maliki was seen off by provincial governor and a number of other local officials.
The Iraqi premier arrived in Tehran Wednesday to hold talks with senior Iranian officials on issues of mutual interest.
During his stay, he was received by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and met with President Hassan Rouhani, Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
He had left Tehran for Mashhad Friday afternoon.
