Iranian Film Week kicks off in Copenhagen

Iranian film week has kicked off in the Danish capital city of Copenhagen to introduce Iran’s cinematic art through screening some selected films.
A collection of six films have been scheduled to be presented at Iran’s cinematic programs opened at the Danish Film Studio in Copenhagen on December 3.

The Studio’s Cinema Tech is currently hosting Bahram Tavakkoli’s latest drama Here without Me.

A contemporary Iranian adaptation of Tennessee Williams'Glass Menagerie, Here without Me recounts the story of a single mother working hard to find a match for her shy and lame-legged daughter, while her son dreams mostly of cinema and running away from family obligations.

The Private Life of Mr. and Mrs. M and Among the Cloudsdirected by Rouhollah Hejazi are also among the films that represent Iranian cinema in Denmark.

The Private Life of Mr. and Mrs. M chronicles Mohsen who tries to promote his business life, but when his wife gets involved in the business, he faces some conflicts in achieving his ambitious goals.

Amongst the Clouds is the story of a teenage Iranian boy who earns his living carrying luggage for tourists at an Iranian-Iraqi border.

One Line of Reality by Ali Vazirian, I Am His Wife by Mostafa Shayesteh and So Far, So Close by Seyyed Reza Mirkarimi are other movies in Iranian film line up at the Week.

Organized by Iran’s Visual Media Institute and the Danish Film Studio, Iran’s Film Week will run until December 26.
