Tehran, Dec 5, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani and visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki here on Thursday held talks on issues of mutual interest.
Al-Maliki, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in the Iranian capital on Wednesday and was officially welcomed by first Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri.
The Iraqi premier is scheduled to meet with Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior officials of the country including Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
