4 Dec 2013 - 17:01

TEHRAN (FNA)- Turkish and Iranian economic activists plan to meet in Istanbul on December 11 to work out a new road map for boosting economic cooperation between the two friendly nations.

Economic and trade delegations of Iran and Turkey plan to discuss ways to expand investment in the Iranian projects.

The two sides would also discuss sanctions, mutual border trade, transportation and investment opportunities, the Iranian students news agency reported.

Earlier this year, a Turkish economic delegation traveled to the Iranian cities of Tabriz, Shiraz and Tehran in order to find investment opportunities in the country. It is expected that the level of trade between the two sides would rise considerably in near future.

Iran-Turkey trade value stands at $20bln a year.
