Tehran, Dec 3, IRNA – Iran’s Avishan Baqeri on Tuesday won the first gold medal of the Iranian team in female junior -54 kg category in Asian Karate Championships 2013 which is underway in Dubai, UAE.
Baqeri beat her opponents from Taiwan, Kyrgyzstan and Japan to win the medal.

Fatemeh Sadeqi another Iranian athlete won a silver medal during the competitions.

Iran has also achieved four bronze medals till now.
