Iran ready to host Syrian tourists, official

Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA -- Head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) Mohammad-Ali Najafi has voiced Tehran?s readiness to host Syrian tourists.
Najafi made the remark in a meeting with visiting Syrian Minister of Tourism Besher Yazji.


He stressed the need for expansion of Tehran-Damascus cooperation in cultural and tourism fields.

Referring to Iran-Syria good relations, Najafi further expressed hope that the existing problems facing the brotherly country of Syria will be resolved soon.

Yazji, for his part, described ties with Iran as important and strategic.

He further felicitated the Iranian nation on the nuclear success gained by the Iranian negotiating team in Geneva, Switzerland, where a first step nuclear deal was reached on November 24 between Iranian officials and representatives of the Group 5+1 (The US, Britain, France, and China plus Germany) to resovle Iran-West nuclear dispute.

The Syrian tourism minister is visiting Tehran at Najafi?s invitation.
