Beirut, Nov 24, IRNA – Foreign Minister of Lebanon Adnan Mansour on Monday said it is time to study the Zionist regime’s nuclear threat and force it to sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
The Lebanese minister made the remarks while commenting on Tel Aviv?s nuclear threats against the Middle East region.
Urging western states to make further efforts to clear the Middle East region from nuclear weapons, Mansour said, the first step to this end is to pressure the Zionist regime to sign the NPT.
As for the recent first step agreement reached between Iran and the six world powers, he said it was a major victory for Iran in the field of pursuance of peaceful nuclear program.
The first step agreement was reached in Geneva, Switzerland, on November 24 after five days of intensive talks between representatives of Iran and their counterparts from the Group 5+1 member states (US, Britain, Russia, france, China and Germany).
Mansour said that the deal is a turning point in Iran’s relations with the West, the US in particular.
