Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA – Iran men Volleyball Team beat Italy 3-2 in the second competition at Inter-continental Cup which is currently underway in Japan.
The Iranian volleyball team has already beat Italy 3-1 in the World League 2013 in its territory.


Italy beat Russia, champions of World Cup and Olympics, yesterday.

Italy won bronze medals in Olympics 2012 and World League 2012 and currently it stands the third in International Volleyball Federation ranking.

Iran’s National Volleyball Team will play its third game with Russia on Friday.

Intercontinental Cup are held with the participation of Russia, Italy, Brazil, the US, Japan and Iran.

Following the victory, the International Volleyball Federation said on its website that Iran volleyball team has turned to a major power.

It said that the victory indicated that the two-time champion of Asia has become a major global power.
