Tehran, Nov 15, IRNA – Two Iranian films called ‘Hiss! Girls Do Not Scream’ and ‘Past’ have been awarded the best movie from London’s Fourth Best Iranian Films Festival and special prize of spectators from German Tubingen’s French Films Festival, respectively.
‘Hiss! Girls Do Not Scream’ has been directed by Pouran Derakhshandeh. London’s Fourth Iranian Films Festival was held in London from November 1 to November 8.
A documentary titled ‘Here is Iran’ directed by Vahid Navidian was awarded as best documentary film, ‘Soldier and Magician’ directed by Abolfazl Golfam as best short film, Ascension directed by Shakiba Shabani as best animation and Unit 11 directed by Masoud Hatami as best short film screenplay.
Meantime, the Past movie directed by Asqar Farhadi received the spectators’ award from Tubingen’s French Films Festival. The Past, which is Farhadi’s last film took part in the 30th Tubingen Films Festival held from October 30 to November 6 in Germany.
