Three Iranian cinematic creations are slated to partake in different categories of the 2013 Sydney Intercultural Film Festival in Australia.
The festival will showcase Iran’s three remarkable works by Pouran Derakhshandeh, Fereydoun Jeyrani and Abolfazl Saffari.

Derakhshandeh’s latest drama Hush! Girls Don’t Screamand Jeyrani’s film I Am a Mother are programmed to be screened at the Special Invitation, a non-competition section of the event.

Hush! Girls Don’t Scream has recently received a great attention from the movie goers during its public screening in Canada.

The movie is also scheduled to start its public screening in Laemmle Movie Theater in Los Angeles.

Jeyrani’s I Am a Mother is a controversial social drama that depicts the story of a young woman raped by a man who is a close friend of her parents. She kills him in revenge for his offence.

Saffari’s cinematic work From Tehran to Heaven is also scheduled to contend for awards in the Competition section of the festival.

Sydney Intercultural Film Festival, which celebrates the diversity of culture through both topics and filmmakers, screens those films about multiculturalism.

The 2013 Sydney Intercultural Film Festival is set to be held from November 13 to 24.
