Pretoria, Oct 31, IRNA – Visiting Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed issues of mutual interest with his South African counterpart Maite Nkoana-Mashabane here Thursday morning.
At the beginning of the talks which continued being held behind closed doors, the two pointed to the long-standing and deep relations between Tehran and Pretoria and stressed further promotion of ties.
Mashabane is to attend Iran-South Africa joint commission session which is to be held at the end of his talks with Zarif.
The two ministers talks will be finalized during another meeting which is to be held later in the evening.
They are also to outline the achievements of the joint Iran-South Africa commission in a joint press conference.
The 11th Iran-South Africa joint commission is meeting in Pretoria after a few year’s gap.
