TEHRAN (ISNA)- Head of Policymaking Workgroup of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC) Mohammad Ali Soltani announced that the country has produced 168 tons of nano-technology products, standing 8th in the world in presenting nano-related articles.
"Iran is ranked 8th in 2012 in producing nano-technology articles in the world," Soltani said, adding China stands 1st in the area.
He also said 131 products out of the 168 were related to nano, and the 37 ones related to nano-equipment.
Soltani also reiterated that 32 percent of the 168 products are nano-related material, 28 percent are final products, 18 percent are intermediate products, 10 percent are equipment with indirect use in nano and 12 percent are nano equipment.
47 percent of the products are now available in the market. 36 percent are laboratory samples and 17 others are to be available in the market soon.
