United Nations, New York, Sept 29, IRNA – Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem here on Saturday expressed hope that the US President Barack Obama would learn wisdom and farsightedness from his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani.
Al-Moualem made the remark in an exclusive interview with IRNA held after his meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

President Rouhani and President Obama had a telephone conversation on Friday minutes before the Iranian President left his hotel for John F. Kennedy International Airport.

It was the first direct talks between the Iranian and US presidents in the past 34 years ago which attracted global attention.
