TEHRAN SEP 25 (Shana): Minister of petroleum Bijan Namdar Zanganeh informed the Commission of Planning, Budget and Auditing of the parliament of the latest developments in the oil industry projects.
Speaking to Shana, secretary of Planning, Budget and Auditing Commission, Esmail Jalili, made the remarks adding Minister of Petroleum presented a report on oil industry status focusing on his approach pertaining to rising oil production capacity.
The minister also presented a report on ongoing and future plans of Petroleum Ministry related to oil, gas, petrochemical, refining projects as well as oil revenues, Jalili said.
he went on to say that the ministry’s attempt to diversify crude and oil products markets was another point Zanganeh statements was focused on while picking up speed in development of shared oil and gas fields was the other important point in the minister report, the MP added.
Meanwhile Gholamreza Kateb the rapporteur of Planning, Budget and Auditing Commission said issues like launching Persian Gulf Star refinery, ending gasoline imports and self-sufficiency in gas production were also discussed.
Minister of Petroleum had already attended Energy Commission following winning vote of confidence last month. Planning, Budget and Auditing Commission members make up the majority of the Integrated Commission in the parliament which along with Energy Commission played an important role in tackling hurdles oil industry faced in view of providing funds it needed in current year budget.
