Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani in a congratulatory message on Tuesday to his Pakistani counterpart Mamnoon Hussain on his election as the president of Pakistan said that promotion of all-out ties with neighboring countries, particularly Muslim states is the top priority of Iran’s foreign policy.
Rouhani stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran attaches special significance to enhancement of ties with Pakistan.

The president referred to cultural, historical and political commonalities between Iran and Pakistan as a base for expansion of bilateral, regional and international relations, saying thist can lead to stability, security and economic prosperity in this sensitive region, particularly in this juncture.

Rouhani wished success for the new president of the friendly and brotherly country of Pakistan and the country’s government and nation.
