Tehran, Aug 27, IRNA – Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said Iran will start gas exports to Oman in two years time.
Talking to IRNA on Tuesday, he said that based on an agreement signed by Tehran and Muscat, a gas field in Iran has been defined as the source of exports to Oman.
He explained that evaluated by present gas price, the deal worth dlrs 60 billion, noting that according to the international norms the agreement will last for 25 years.
The minister further said that he is to introduce an Iranian consultant company for the project prior to the start of its main phases.
According to the minister, the deal is the biggest signed by the two countries.
