Former Iranian oil minister Qasemi appointed advisor to Defense Minister

Former Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi was appointed as advisor of newly elected Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan, Fars news agency reported.
Qasemi who served as Oil Minister in ex-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's cabinet from 2011 to 2013 is one of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commanders. He is also an Iran-Iraq war veteran.

He was head of the Khatam-ol Anbya Construction Headquarters (affiliated with the IRGC), from 2007 to 2011.

It should be noted that Bijan Namdar Zanganeh is the current Oil minister of Iran, not long ago appointed by Iranian president Hassan Rouhani.
